US Gov’t will support organizations promoting rule of law and accountability-Joel Maybury

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The United States Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission has assured the Liberian National Bar (LNB) of the US Government’s support to organizations that promote the strengthening of the rule of law and accountability.

Joel Maybury said:” The Bar Association has been strong in promoting the rule of law and preaching against impunity.”

He expressed interest in joining the Bar in the planning process of the upcoming bi-centennial celebrations.

Joel Maybury was speaking Wednesday, October 20, 2021, during a curtesy visit with the leadership of the LNBA.

For his part, LNBA President, Cllr. Tiawon Gongloe, reflected on the level of work being done by the Bar through its five legal aid clinics providing free services to people.
