Lofa County Senator-Elect Samukai pays back half of Armed Forces of Liberia Soldiers Pension Money

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Former Defense Minister and Lofa County Senator-elect, Brownie Samukai, paid his fifty percent portion of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) Soldiers pension money, at Criminal Court ‘C’.

Mr. Samukai’s legal team led by Cllr.Wiefueh Saryeh, along with some citizens of Lofa County, paid the amount of one-hundred-seventy-three-thousand-two-hundred United States Dollars on Thursday, August 19, 2021, which constitutes fifty percent payment to the AFL Welfare Account.

This amount is in connection with the half of million US Dollars payment, as mandated by the Supreme Court of Liberia’s February 8, 2021 judgment.

The payment comes ahead of the enlargement that his legal team has filed at the Supreme Court for litigation, after withdrawing it earlier from the lower court.
