MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Health Minister, Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah, is to brief President George Weah on the prevailing health situation amid the rapid spread of new COVID-19 infections in the country.

On Monday, June 21, 2021, President Weah returned home after attending the 59th Ordinary Summit of ECOWAS Heads of State in Accra, Ghana.

Information Minister, Ledgerhood Rennie, told reporters that any decision made after the briefing will aim at safeguarding the citizenry against scourge of the virus.

However, Minister Rannie said the revised health protocols released by the Health Ministry are sufficient to curb the virus while stressing individual behavior is  critical in the fight.

Meanwhile, the Information Minister said President George Weah, along with his regional counterparts, have taken a unanimous decision to carry on a reform in the ECOWAS Commission.
