Health Authorities records four new death by COVID-19

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Liberian Health Authorities have recorded four new deaths as the new wave of COVID-19 continues to take its toll on the population.

The four deaths recorded as of Sunday, June 20, 2021, now bring to 99, the total number of deaths recorded since the outbreak of the Coronavirus in Liberia.

There are also 62 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of active cases to 841. Montserrado County, now accounts for 50, an increase of 13 new infections from the 37 recorded from Saturday, June 19,2021.

Bomi and Bong County each have three confirmed new cases, while Gbarpolu, Bassa, Margibi, Maryland, Nimba and Rivercess with one case each.

The statistics released by the Incident Management System Monday, June 21, 2021, were recorded as of Sunday June 20. There are also 50 new recoveries recorded as of the reporting date. The number of contacts being followed has also gone up to 1008.
