Tehr District Citizens wants Gov. undertake dev. Projects in the constituency

TEHR DISTRICT, BOMI COUNTY, LIBERIA-Citizens of Tehr District, in Bomi County, have petitioned the Liberian Government to undertake several development projects in the area.

The citizens named road rehabilitation, the elevation of the District’s only junior high school to senior high and the renovation and improvement of the Government Clinic as development projects needed to be carried out.

Others are the construction of a market building, the provision of scholarships and skill training programs for youth of the District.

The two separate petition statements were read by the Head of the Chiefs and Elders of Tehr District, Sekou Johnson and the District Youth Chairman, Alfred Momolu.

Chief Johnson appealed to Government to empower traditional leaders by providing mobility to enhance their work.

For his part, the Youth Chairman, Alfred Momolu, named the construction of TVET Institute and a scholarship scheme for youth of the District.

Responding to the petitions in a town hall meeting in Zordee Town, President George Weah said:” The Liberian Government has already agreed to construct residential homes for nurses in the area.”
