Grand Gedeh County Bar Asso. Wants Cllr. Kanio Bai Gbala investigated

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Grand Gedeh Bar Association wants the Liberia Anti-corruption Commission (LACC), to swiftly investigate allegations of corruption against its Vice Chairman Cllr. Kanio Bai Gbala.

Cllr. Kanio Bai Gbala is currently Vice Chairman of the Grand Gedeh Bar Association and acting Executive Chairperson of the LACC, following the resignation of Cllr. Ndubusi Nwabudike.

According to the Grand Gedeh Bar Association, the investigation of Cllr. Bai Gbala will boost public trust and confidence in the anti-graft institution.

The Association in a release issued Thursday, March 18, 2021, said it is concerned not only about the allegations made by LACC Executive Director, Mohammed Fahnbulleh, but the reputation of Cllr. Gbala.

The release noted that the outcome of an impartial probe would serve a valuable purpose to finding a lasting remedy to the current integrity situation at the LACC.
