Liberia Government Commits USD$ 2M Microloan for Smallholder Businesses in Bong County

President George Weah has committed two million dollars in microloan to smallholder businesses in Bong County.

Speaking at a town hall meeting in David Dean Town, Kokoya District, President Weah mandated the Commerce Minister to begin disbursement of the funds.

The Liberian Leader singled out women as key beneficiaries of the loan, adding that it is intended to promote women entrepreneurs.

President Weah encouraged interested farmers in Bong County to take advantage of the program to help the government boost food security.

Speaking at the town hall meeting in continuation of his Nationwide Tour, President Weah assured farmers that his administration would do its best to ensure they are successful in the agriculture sector.
