Nat’l Elections Commission continues consultations in Gbarpolu, Grand Kru for possible re-run of elections.

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Elections Commission (NEC) says consultations are continuing with authorities of Gbarpolu and Grand Kru Counties, for the possible re-run of elections.

The Commission has halted the release of final results for both counties, due to electoral violence.

According to NEC, its technicians are carrying out assessment of its Magisterial Offices and voter precincts, to complete the re-run process.

Meanwhile, the Commission says vote tallying from the just ended National Referendum is taking place in Nimba County.

The Commission’s release issued Sunday, December 27, 2020, said the Commission has announced tally completion in twelve counties, with exception of Gbarpolu and Grand Kru Counties.
