Children’s Healthcare International calls for citizens’ interventions on basic healthcare and needs for the needy

KAKATA, MARGIBI COUNTY-The founder of Children’s Healthcare International Program (CHIP) Incorporated says Liberia can no longer depend exclusively on donors, missionaries, and government alone to meet the health and other basic needs of Liberians.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Organization, Margaret Siah– Tolbert said:” The formation of CHIP Incorporated represents voluntarism through humanitarian services from all Liberians home and abroad, to give back to our Country through these patriotic interventions”.

Rev. Mabel Bucket, deputizing for Madam Siah – Tolbert, said as a professional nurse in America, she has tirelessly dedicated her life to volunteering and saving the lives of Liberians during the war years, while displaced in Kakata, Cote d’ Ivoire, and then Ghana.

She spoke during the former launch of CHIP Incorporated, Liberia, on Saturday, October 31, 2020, in Kakata, Margibi County, where Liberia’s Headquarters is based.

The Head Pastor of the Apostolic Baptist Church in Kakata, Rev. Lincoln Gboco, serving as Keynote Speaker, said: “Liberia is blessed by God, and when citizens contribute to its people, development is bound for the country to prosper”.

Rev. Gboco said the launching of CHIP in Liberia requires cooperation from stakeholders to help rescue the needy, children, and people with special needs.

CHIP is a Liberian international NGO, with the vision to impact lives and save one child at a time. CHIP operates in seven countries across Africa and America.

Liberia’s office of CHIP – Liberia Incorporated, is expected to serve as Regional Headquarters for Africa, as basically the organization has a mission to provide children healthcare, education, empowerment of women and girls, agriculture, and micro-finance initiatives.

Before and during the outbreak of the global pandemic, COVID-19, CHIP Incorporated had initiated various outreaches, and gave to the visually impaired of the Christian Association of the Blind, the Group of 77, including needy children, women and girls, some people with special needs, as well as churches and some communities in Kakata, Margibi County.
