Gov. begins compensating affected citizens of Nimba County along the Ganta-Tappita Highway

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has begun the payment of compensations to affected citizens of Nimba County along the Ganta-Tappita Highway.

According to ELBC Lower Nimba County Correspondent, some of the people have received a check of three-thousand-five-hundred and eleven-thousand United States Dollars, based on the value of their properties.

According to our Correspondent, the citizens have been urged to relocate from the area before the demolition exercise of their houses by the Ministry of Public Works.

In another development, the newly elected officials for the Project Management Committee in Nimba County have ended a two-day orientation and operational gathering in the County.

According to our Upper Nimba County Correspondent, the training was facilitated by officials by various Government institutions.
