Journalists undergo COVID-19 coverage training in Tubmanburg

TUBMANBURG, BOMI COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Press Union of Liberia (PUL), in collaboration with the United States Development Program, is conducting a  two-day regional media training in Bomi County on COVID-19 coverage.

The training is being held under the theme: “Proper Communication-the Way in Fighting Coronavirus”.

It brings together thirty journalists from Montserrado, Grand Cape Mount, Gbarpolu and Bomi Counties.

Speaking in an interview with ELBC Monday, October 26,2020, in Tubmanburg, PUL Vice President, Daniel Nyankonah, said:” The training is aimed at reawakening journalists’’ approach in reporting on the Coronavirus pandemic.”

Mr. Nyankonah said it is important for media practitioners to continue the sensitization on COVID-19 ahead of the Special Senatorial Election.

He said the next phase of the training is expected to take place in Bong County, targeting about thirty journalists from Central Liberia.
