Gov’t begins disbursement of US2Million Dollars to Health Workers across Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Government of Liberia says it has begun the disbursement of US2Million Dollars to Health Workers across the Country for their services to the COVID19 Response.

Making the disclosure Monday, October 5, 2020, on ELBC, the Communications Consultant, at the Health Ministry, Sorbor George, said the money will be distributed equally to all doctors and nurses in the same categories across all 15 counties of Liberia.

According to Mr. George, the Ministry; however, has set requirements for getting the money.

He said all persons in the COVID-19 Response, including public and private, who have received their payments under the Response, are excluded.

Mr. George said the only staff of registered tax-paying private facility with up to date operating license will benefit this payment.

He added all private facilities working under the team will have to submit to the Technical Team, their current and January 2020 payroll for vetting.
