Former Foreign Minister Findley denies suspended Passport Director’s allegation…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Former Foreign Minister Gbehzongar Findley has termed as untrue and unfounded, statements from suspended Passport Director Andrew Wonploe.

The former Passport Director alleged that he was instructed by the former Foreign Minister, to trade Liberian passports for foreigners during his tenure as Minister.

But a release issued Thursday, September 24,2020, from the office of Mr. Findley said at no time did Mr. Findley instruct the former Director of Passports and Visas, Andrew Wonploe, to trade Liberian Passports to non-Liberians.

The release also quotes the Grand Bassa County Senatorial Hopeful as saying his service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Liberia was characterized by service to Country, commitment to duty, strengthening bilateral and multilateral relationships and upholding the Rule of Law.
