Liberia Land Authority grants disputed land to Firestone-Liberia

LOWER MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Liberia Land Authority (LLA) has released findings from the recent land dispute in Lower Margibi County.

The land conflict erupted between inhabitants of Kpanyan Town and the Firestone Management.

According to ELBC Lower Margibi County Correspondent, in its findings, the LLA said:” The inhabitants of the Town reportedly failed to provide document to substantiate their claim, to the over one-thousand acres of land.”

Our Correspondent disclosed that the survey by the Land Authority shows that Firestone Management is the legitimate owner of the disputed land.

But reacting to the findings by the Land Authority, residents of the Kpanyan Town rejected the findings and threatened to seek legal redress in the matter.
