Liberia: Eighteen new confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in ten days

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Health Authorities have reported eighteen new confirmed cases of the Coronavirus.

It is the highest number of cases recorded in the past ten days, increasing Liberia’s total confirmed cases to one thousand-two-hundred-seven.

According to the Incident Management Team’s Sunday, August 2, 2020 update, sixteen of the eighteen cases were recorded in Grand Bassa County, while Montserrado and Nimba Counties recorded one case each.

The update also confirmed two new Coronavirus related deaths in Montserrado and Nimba Counties, bringing the Country’s death toll to seventy-seven.

Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries from the Coronavirus infections is six-hundred-ninety-one on Sunday, after one person was discharged, while four hundred-thirty-nine people are in treatment centers nationwide.
