Liberia confirms eight new COVID-19 cases

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia has recorded eight new confirmed   cases of Coronavirus infection.

Four of the cases were recorded in Montserrado County, two in Grand Bassa County and one in Lofa County.

The new cases bring the total confirmed cases in the Country to two-hundred-eighty-eighty.

The Incident Management System’s latest report shows that additional two people have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries IN THE Country to one-hundred-fifty-seven.

For the fourth day the death toll stands at twenty-seven, including one new death in the COVID-19 Treatment Unit, bringing the number of people that have died at the facility to three.

According to the report, the number of active cases receiving treatment has risen to one-hundred-five, while health workers are following up on seven-hundred contacts.
