LIBA Wants Government Open all Businesses Amidst Covid-19 Lock-down

Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberian Business Association (LIBA) is appealing to the Liberian Government to reopen businesses that LIBA recently described as non-essential.

LIBA says the closure of these businesses is creating serious hard ship for business owners who have to pay back loans and meet taxes obligations to banks and the Government, respectively.

Speaking at a news conference Tuesday, the President of LIBA, James Strother, disclosed that some of these businesses have perishable goods that are decaying, due to their prolong closure.

Mr. Strother is meanwhile calling on government to always contact LIBA on issues relating to businesses in the country. He wants the business community form part of policy issues relating to their operations.
