WAEC Postpones All April 2020 Examinations Indefinite

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The West African Examinations Council Liberia Office, in consultation with the Education Ministry, has announced the indefinite postponement of all examinations previously scheduled for April this year.

According to the Liberia News Agency, the affected Exams are West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), the Liberia Junior High School Certificate Examination (LHSCE), and the Liberia Primary School Certificate Examination (LPSCE).

LINA alsoquotes WAEC Liberia as attributing its action to the current coronavirus in the country, with at least three confirmed cases and several suspected and high risk cases.

The Liberia National Office of the West African Examinations Council says the suspension will remain enforced until further notice.

The WAEC Administration said the move is intended to allow students to observe all health protocols and in the interest of national health emergency.
