MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Senate Committee on Ways, Means, Finance, and Budget is moving to strengthen legislative ties between Liberia and the People’s Republic of China.
This follows high-level talks between the Committee Chair, Senator Prince Moye, and the Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, Yin Chengwu.
During the meeting, Ambassador Yin expressed China’s commitment to promoting active exchanges and cooperation between the legislative bodies of both nations.
A key highlight of the discussion was China’s pledge to advance high-level “opening-up” by implementing a zero-tariff policy for African countries, to boost trade and economic integration.
In response, Senator Moye expressed gratitude for China’s long-standing support of Liberia’s national development.
He reaffirmed Liberia’s willingness to deepen bilateral relations and expand cooperation across various sectors.
