Health Authorities frown on false info, warn doers to desist

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) has sharply reacted to information that health authorities have planned to spray the air early Sunday morning, March 22, 2020.

The Acting Director General of NPHIL, Doctor Mosoka Fallah, termed the information as misleading and untrue.

According to him, those spreading such information are the real enemies of the State, whose intent is to plunge the Country into another health crisis.

The NPHIL Director Designate said:” We will keep the Country abreast with latest developments on the health crisis, but those engage in spreading false information must desist.”

Doctor Fallah said such behavior has the tendency to cause mistrust among citizens, Government and international partners.

In a related development, thirteen persons believed to be primary contacts to the first and third Coronavirus patients have tested negative.

At a special press briefing recently by the Incident Management Team, NPHIL Director General Designate, Doctor Mosoka Fallah, said:” The specimens of over fifty persons have been taken to conduct additional tests, and they will be discharged if the results come out negative.”

The NPHIL Boss also announced that they are due to redo the test of those positive of COVID-19 to know the status of their recovery.

Meanwhile, Doctor Fallah, said:” Individuals considered high risks are still in isolation to break the chain of transmission if they show symptoms.”
