MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Liberia Medical and Dental Council (LMDC) has released its Infection Prevention Control (IPC) policy for health workers and health facilities across the country.

As part of the measures, only license health care professionals are allowed to be assigned in every triage area at health facilities and no health worker is allowed to provide treatment outside of health facilities.

The IPC directs all health facilities to setup a triage, adhere to all IPC protocols and that hand washing facilities be available.

At a news conference in Monrovia Friday, LMDC Registrar General, Dr. Moses Pewu, said the IPC policy is to ensure patients safety, health workers’ protection and reduce risk posed by the COVID-19 virus.
