WASH CSOs Network Commends Government Over Coronavirus Stance

Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia CSOs WASH Network has commended President George Weah and the Government for the prompt action and information provided to the nation on the outbreak of COVID-19 in Liberia.

The WASH CSO said the pronouncement about outbreak puts the government and citizenry in a better position in the fight against the corona virus.

In a release, the group also called on the National Legislature to mobilize the needed resources and funds to support the Health and WASH sectors to begin the fight against the deadly killer disease in Liberia.

The WASH Group is   appealing to all development partners, International NGOs, the business community to aid the country in the fight against the COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the group is calling on all Liberians to stop the blame game and stigmatization against the affected persons and work together during this time of the pandemic in Liberia.

The WASH Group is further calling on all passengers who traveled on board of SN Brussels to cooperate with all health protocols and arrangements in the spirit of oneness to defeat the pandemic in Liberia.

The Liberia CSOs said during this time of national emergency, Authorities of the Ministry of Health, the WASH Commission and National Public Health Institute to work together assiduously as well as bring on board all Civil Society Organizations, the media to create awareness to the length and breadth of the country.

The group is also encouraging all political Parties to immediately desist from all political rallies in the country so as to save us from this pandemic.
