BUCHANAN, LIBERIA – The 2nd Judicial Circuit Court in Grand Bassa County has announced a change of venue in the murder case involving a German national who was recently killed in Buchanan.
ELBC Grand Bassa County Correspondent, Sampson David, says the change of venue follows petitions from both prosecution and defense lawyers.
The two teams of lawyers prayed for a change of venue to enable them hold an impartial trial because of the deceased’s link with the community hosting the court.
The case has now been transferred to the 13th Judicial Circuit Court in Margibi County where the case is expected to begin soon.
The German national, Juergen Schedema, was shot dead on January 22, 2020 by 13 suspected armed robbers in his company’s compound in the port city of Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
