Man 23, Appeals for Assistance to Travel to India for Surgery

Monrovia Liberia – An unknown illness since his birth, is gradually taking away the life of a young Liberian man, James P. Doe, resident of Gardnerville.

James, age 23, has been struggling from this unknown sickness since 1997 and it is gradually eating up the entire left side of his back.

“I Hardly Sleep at night and i am living on Drugs”, James told reporters Monday February 24, 2020.

In a sad and painful tone, the sick young man disclosed that he feels like he is out of this world. He explained that due to his current condition, whenever he is walking in the streets, he feels as if something is holding him back due to the heavy weight of the strange sickness.

James is appealing to national government, philanthropists and other well-meaning Liberians to come to his aid in order to get him back to normal because James is a high school graduate but he told LNTV, he feels as if he is not normal.

He currently has an Indian Medical Visa which will expired in early March and as such James wants an urgent medical assistance to help save his life.

According to the Visa Document and medical report, James is expected to spend three Months in India for treatment at the Dharamshila Narayana Super Specialty Hospital in New Delhi.

He further noted that in 2008 Mercy Ship team did an operation on him and he felt healed but a year later in 2009, the sickness relapsed.

“I feel abandoned, neglected and discriminated against by others whenever I am walking in the streets, but I am hopeful that one day my pain will be over” James lamented.
