Liberian Health Authorities Declare A Liberian Returnee From China As An ‘Alert Case’ Of The Corona Virus

Monrovia Liberia – A sick Liberian man who returned from China two days ago is being declared as “AN ALERT CASE” even though he is being tested negative of the Coronavirus.

Health authorities said the ill Liberian is being quarantined and catered to by nurses at the Star Base observation center on the Bushrod Island.

The Acting Director General of the National Public Health Institute, Dr. Mosoka Fallah told a news conference Tuesday that the several tests are being conducted during the 14-day incubation period.

Dr. Fallah also said there have been no tests of cough, respiratory difficulty or fever so far.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah is lauding partners including the Chinese and the West African Health Organization (WAHO) for the cooperation with Liberian Health authorities.
