Pres. Weah nominates Jeanine Cooper, as Agriculture Minister

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has nominated Jeanine Cooper as the new Minister of Agriculture designate.

According to Executive Mansion release issued, President Weah nominated Minister Cooper on Thursday, January 16, 2020, pending confirmation by the Liberian Senate.

Ms. Cooper replaces Dr.Mogana Flomo who was relieved of his post on June 29, 2019.

Prior to her nomination, Ms. Cooper served as Managing Director of FABRAR-Liberia Enterprise Limited, an organization which specializes in processing and marketing local agriculture and food products for domestic consumption and export.

She also worked with the United Nations System for thirteen years, and Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the African Union (AU) and Head of Liaison Office for the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Kenya, respectively.
