The Senate summons Finance, Foreign Affairs Ministry to appear before Executive Session

MONROVIA, LIBERIA (Cecelia Clark Reports)-The Liberian Senate has summoned the Ministries of Finance and Foreign Affairs to appear before its Executive Session Tuesday.

The Senate’s decision comes in the wake of a report submitted to that august body by Liberia’s Representative to the ECOWAS Parliament Senator Steve Zargo, on the performance of the Country at the Parliament.

Senator Zargo in his report disclosed thatLiberia has a deficit of 5.9 Million United States dollars in the implementation of Community program and levy.

Following lengthy deliberations, members of the Senate voted to summon the two Ministries to explain reasons behind underperformance at the ECOWAS.
