New York Federal Reserve Pledges Support to enhance CBL Operations

MONROVIA, LIBERIA (Amenda Y. Sali Reports)-The Head of a five man delegation US International Affairs and Senior Vice President, New York Federal Reserve, Michael Schetzel, has lauded Central Bank Governor, Aloysiou Tarlue for cordial working relationship with the FED.

Mr. Schetzel said his institution values the relationship with the CBL and will continue to exert all efforts to enhance the capacity of the Bank.

According to a release, the meeting with the US financial delegation was centered on the CBL’s regular operations and administration of the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) and its Customer Security Program (CSP) which was recently implemented.

In remarks, the CBL Executive Governor, Aloysius Tarlue, underscored has the rebranding of the CBL as a binding challenge of the Bank to restore its integrity.

Governor Tarlue said it is important that immediate steps are taken to restore public confidence in the operations of the Bank.

He said the CBL, under his governorship, will exercise transparency in its operations to remove the reputable harm the Bank has suffered.
