Pres. Weah extends Special Sitting of 54th Nat’l Legislature

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has by proclamation, extended the Special Sitting of the 54th National Legislature by one week.

The one week special sitting begins December 11 to the 18th 2019.

The proclamation issued by President Weah is in keeping with Article 32(b) of the Liberian Constitution.

According to an Executive Mansion release, the extension of the sitting will afford the lawmakers the opportunity to further discuss and act upon matters of urgent National importance.

Meanwhile, our Executive Mansion reporter named the confirmation of the Executive Governor designate of the CBL, the printing of new Liberian Dollar Banknotes and the passage of other key financial instruments as issues being discussed.
