MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah is expected to deliver the keynote address at the opening of the ECOWAS National Commission on Small Arms in Liberia.

The Liberian Government through the National Commission on Small Arms (LiNCSA) is hosting the November 26-27 Conference at the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, for the first time.

According to a release issued Friday, November 22, 2019, the meeting will review recommendations from the Niamey Technical Review meeting held this year in Niger, while experts and development partners will consider practical progress revision and lesson learned among others.

The meeting will bring together Heads and Permanent Secretaries of National Small Arms Commissions from the 15 ECOWAS Member States, the EU, UNDP, Small Arms Survey including key Ministries and Agencies.

The meeting is being sponsored by ECOWAS with support from the German Government through the Bonn International Center for Conversion (BICC).
