MONROVIA, LIBERIA, The Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA) says efforts are underway to establish a national airline to improve the country’s air Transport Sector.
Speaking in an ELBC interview on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, the Director General of LCAA, Julius Dennis, said” The authority is working with relevant government institutions and other stakeholders to make the plan a reality”.
He said the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to ensure Liberia has its own national carrier.
Dennis expressed optimism that, if the necessary arrangements and requirements are met, Liberia could have its national airline operating between 2027 and 2028.
The proposed national airline is expected to strengthen Liberia’s air connectivity, although further details on its operations and implementation timeline are yet to be announced.
