MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Education Minister Dr. Jarso Jallah has stressed that vocational skills can strengthen Liberia’s economy by creating livelihoods, supporting families, and generating employment.

Dr. Jallah made the statement Friday, September 11, 2026, during the graduation ceremony of at least two hundred forty-seven Maryann Cheeseman graduates in Monrovia.

Speaking on the theme, “Skills for Livelihood, Equipped to Lead,” she urged graduates to demonstrate responsibility, discipline, integrity, and commitment to continuous learning.

The education minister encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to manage costs, keep proper records, separate personal finances, treat customers respectfully, and price services fairly.

Dr. Jallah said protecting one’s name and reputation is essential, adding that integrity can determine whether future opportunities expand or disappear.
