MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia National Police, in collaboration with the Liberia Maritime Authority (LMA), is investigating the discovery of a strange vessel near Mamba Point in Central Monrovia.

The Spokesperson of the police, Sam Collins, said the vessel was discovered late Wednesday night on the beach without crew members on board.

In an ELBC interview on Thursday, September 10, 2026, Collins called on the public not to approach or remove anything from the unclaimed vessel.

Collins is also calling on the public to provide any relevant information or footage surrounding the vessel to aid the ongoing investigations.

The Police Spokesperson said:” Investigators have not so far gathered any criminal information linking to the vessel”.
