MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The World Bank Group and the Liberian Government have launched Liberia’s Public Finance Review 2026 in Monrovia.
The Review provides analysis and policy recommendations to help the government strengthen revenue mobilization and improve public spending.
Speaking at the launch, World Bank Country Manager, Georgia Wallen, disclosed that Liberia has achieved important fiscal stabilization.
She noted that the next step is to build the fiscal foundations for sustained development.
Madam Wallen, at the same time, committed the World Bank to supporting the efforts of the Liberian government in enhancing revenue generation.
Also speaking, the Deputy Finance Minister for Fiscal Affairs, Anthony Myers, said the government is making several interventions to strengthen Liberia’s revenue mobilization efforts.
Deputy Minister Myers named the launch of the domestic revenue mobilization strategy as one critical intervention, emphasizing that revenue mobilization remains a key priority to the Liberian government.
He added that the government will continue to work with its partners to ensure enhanced revenue mobilization.
The Deputy Finance and Development Planning Minister spoke on behalf of Finance Minister Augustine Ngafuan on Monday, September 7, 2026, at the launch of the Liberia Public Finance Review 2026 in Monrovia.
