MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The General Services Agency (GSA) has disclosed that renovation works are underway at the Centennial Pavilion in Monrovia, following more than three decades without major rehabilitation.

‎The agency says the renovation is aimed at restoring and improving the facility to meet modern standards and provide a suitable environment for high-level national and public events.

GSA Executive Director Galakpai Kortimai says the project is part of efforts to improve the condition and functionality of the historic facility.

‎‎Director Kortimai notes that major renovation activities are already progressing at the Centennial Pavilion, with workers undertaking improvements to various sections of the building.

‎According to him, the rehabilitation will enhance the facility’s capacity to host government functions, official programs, and other major public gatherings.

‎‎The GSA Executive Director says the renovation is expected to be completed ahead of the facility’s dedication scheduled for November.

‎‎The Centennial Pavilion has served as a major venue for government activities and public events, making its rehabilitation significant to the agency’s efforts to preserve and improve public facilities.

‎‎Director Kortimai spoke Thursday, September 3, at the Ministry of Information Regular Press Briefing in Monrovia.

‎‎Meanwhile, the GSA says it is decentralizing its renovation process across Liberia to ensure that public facilities outside Montserrado County also receive attention and necessary improvements.
