Police in Maryland County Investigates Alleged Armed Robbery at Cavalla Rubber Plantation

MARYLAND COUNTY, LIBERIA-Police in Maryland County are investigating a reported armed robbery incident at the Cavalla Rubber Plantation in Maryland County that left three security officers injured and a large amount of money reportedly stolen.

A Liberia National Police release says the incident reportedly occurred around 3:45 on Tuesday morning at the plantation facility.

It also noted that an Emergency Response Unit (ERU) officer and two Plantation Police officers sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at the Company’s medical facility.

According to preliminary police findings, a 9-millimeter firearm was also stolen during the robbery.

Meanwhile, the Liberia National Police says the investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances, identify, and apprehend those responsible.
