MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Elections Commission (NEC) has embarked on a rigorous inspection of the headquarters of all registered political parties across Monrovia and its environs.
On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, NEC, through its Political Affairs Section, commenced the exercise at the headquarters of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Movement for One Liberia, African Liberation League, and the Liberia National Union.
Other areas visited were the Reformers National Congress, United Independent Democrats, and the Democratic National Allegiance.
NEC, in a statement, says the ongoing exercise forms part of its broader responsibility to assess the administrative, organizational, and institutional readiness of political parties.
The inspection also examined the leadership structures of the parties, including officials responsible for inter-party and government affairs, as well as other relevant institutional arrangements.
The release noted that during the exercise, some party headquarters were found closed, while others could not be located.
