MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Patriotic Party (NPP) says it has taken note of the indictment of its Standard Bearer, Jewel Howard-Taylor, by the Liberian Government and subsequent charges brought against her.
Madam Howard-Taylor has been charged with multiple offenses, including drug trafficking, money laundering, and other related offenses under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act of 2023.

The NPP is also calling on its partisans and supporters to remain calm, as the Party is monitoring the investigation.
Meanwhile, the release quotes the NPP as saying it supports the Liberian Government’s efforts to combat the illicit drug trade and the dismantling of drug trafficking networks in Liberia.
