MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Education Minister Dr Jarso Jallah has warned County Education Officers and District Education Officers against defiance, unauthorized transfers, and administrative indiscipline.
Speaking with education stakeholders on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the MOE’s Congo Town office, Minister Jallah added that transfers will face dismissal.
According to her, education officials must respect supervision structures and ensure county challenges reported to lawmakers are simultaneously communicated to the Ministry.
The education minister said:” Regular school visits and classroom monitoring are necessary to identify teacher shortages, attendance problems, and neglected schools”.
She noted that the Ministry should not be caught unaware when education officials report county challenges to lawmakers without first informing their supervisors.
She stressed that officials may engage lawmakers on local education concerns, but must keep the Ministry informed to ensure coordinated responses.
