MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation says it is intensifying efforts to restore and expand access to safe and reliable pipe-borne water in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County.
The project is intended to improve water access for residents and strengthen the city’s public infrastructure, including critical institutions that depend on a reliable water supply.
According to a release, LWSC Deputy Managing Director for Technical Services, Patrick Sandikie, recently visited the project site to assess progress and address challenges that could delay completion and commissioning.
The release says the current work includes connecting household customers to the newly rehabilitated pipeline, while a three-inch water pipeline is being extended along the Monrovia Highway toward Zwedru.
It also noted that the pipeline extension has now reached the newly dedicated Grand Gedeh County Referral Hospital, improving water access to one of the county’s key healthcare facilities.
