GRAND CAPE MOUNT COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Government has re-echoed the need for citizens to be intentional about farming to reduce hunger and the country’s reliance on rice imports.
Agriculture Minister, Dr. Alexander Nuetah, wants farmers across Liberia to be practical and take ownership of agriculture.
According to Minister Nuetah, the government continues to invest more in agriculture with little outcome from farmers in the Country.
The agriculture minister believes that when farmers take responsibility in prioritizing farming, Liberia will reduce hunger.
Minister Nuetah spoke on Wednesday in Grand Cape Mount County, when he assessed several farms in Western Liberia.
