MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Education Minister Dr. Jarso Jallah has described outgoing UNICEF Representative and Local Education Group Co-Chair, Andy Brooks, as a transformative force in Liberia’s Education Sector.
The farewell honor was extended during a Local Education Group meeting chaired by Minister Jallah, marking the conclusion of Brooks’ service in Liberia.
Minister Jallah thanked Brooks for his exceptional leadership, professionalism, partnership, and remarkable contributions to strengthening education across the country.
Speaking at the ceremony recently, Brooks urged education stakeholders to continue challenging persistent problems, rather than accepting poor conditions in Liberia’s schools as normal.
He called for stronger and more sustained partnerships around the Ministry’s reform priorities, stressing that education remains central and indispensable to Liberia’s overall national development agenda.
The meeting also reviewed critical Education Sector priorities, including the Annual School Census, TVET, the Back to My Classroom Campaign, and the Mid-Term Review of the Education Sector Plan and Partnership Compact.
