MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The United Methodist University, UMU, has appointed Dr. James K. Mulbah as Acting Vice President for Admissions, Records, Registration, and Recruitment.
Dr. Mulbah officially took office on Monday, August 17, 2026, following an official turnover ceremony held on the main campus of the United Methodist University in Monrovia.
The turnover was conducted by UMU President, Rev. Dr. David M. Tokpah. Also in attendance was Dr. George K. Weagba, Vice President for Administration at UMU.
Speaking during the ceremony, Rev. Dr. Tokpah expressed satisfaction over Dr. Mulbah’s appointment to the university’s senior executive team.
He assured Dr. Mulbah of the administration’s full support as he takes charge of the affairs of the Admissions, Records, Registration, and Recruitment Department.
For his part, Vice President for Administration Dr. George K. Weagba called on employees of the department to work closely with and support Dr. Mulbah, describing the department as a nerve center of the university.
Employees of the department welcomed Dr. Mulbah and pledged their fullest support as he assumes his new responsibilities.
In his remarks, Dr. James K. Mulbah thanked Rev. Dr. Tokpah and United Methodist Church Bishop Samuel J. Quire for the opportunity to serve at the United Methodist University.
