MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has appointed officials to several key government positions, including the Central Bank of Liberia, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Forestry Development Authority.

‎‎According to an Executive Mansion release, Euphemia Sweh-Monmia has been appointed Deputy Governor for Economic Policy at the Central Bank of Liberia, while Alphonso Belleh takes over as Deputy Minister for Youth Development.

‎‎‎At the Forestry Development Authority, Sundeh Blanyon has been appointed Deputy Managing Director for Technical Services, with Etmonia Martin appointed Chairperson of the Office of the Ombudsman.

‎Madam Martin fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Cllr. Findley Karnga, while Sagie Kamara has been appointed Commissioner at the Office of the Ombudsman.

‎‎Meanwhile, Moses Kollie and Fahnlon Gbakoyah have been appointed Industrial Relations Managers at China Union/Bangli and MNG Gold, respectively, with the appointments subject to Senate confirmation where applicable.

‎At the same time, the Liberian Leader has appointed seventy-three Stipendiary and Associate Magistrates to serve in magisterial courts across thirteen counties.

‎The appointments cover Nimba, Sinoe, Grand Bassa, Bong, Montserrado, Lofa, Grand Cape Mount, among others.

‎According to an Executive Mansion release, Nimba County has the highest number of appointees, with twenty Associate Magistrates assigned to various magisterial courts.

‎Sinoe County follows with twelve appointees, including Joseph Brown, who has been appointed Stipendiary Magistrate of the Greenville City Magisterial Court.

‎‎President Joseph Boakai is tasking the newly appointed magistrates to discharge their duties with professionalism, integrity, and diligence, as they take on responsibilities within the country’s Judiciary.
