MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) has introduced a standardized expenditure budget planning framework to strengthen planning, coordination, accountability, and institutional performance.
The LRA also noted that the instrument aligns with the Authority’s institutional priorities, including enhancing domestic revenue mobilization, improving taxpayer services, and accelerating digital transformation.
In a release issued over the weekend, LRA’s Deputy Commissioner General for Administrative Affairs, Samuel Bennett, described the launch of the framework as an important step toward improving planning and resource allocation.
Bennett wants every department of the LRA to actively participate in the exercise, adhere to established timelines, and ensure the submission of comprehensive and strategic policies.
Meanwhile, LRA’s Assistant Commissioner for Budget and Finance, Ord-Siejepo Jlateh, says the standardized budget planning template will strengthen the Liberia Revenue Authority’s budget formulation process.
