Pres. Boakai Appreciates 173 Traditional Midwives in Bong County

BONG COUNTY, LIBERIA-At least 173 Traditional Midwives in Bomi County have received an appreciation Package from President Joseph Boakai.

The package was presented to the traditional midwives by the Liberia Board for Nursing and Midwifery on behalf of the President.

The Board says the gesture is the President’s way of appreciating the effort of Midwives and boosting maternal care in rural communities.

Our correspondent said the items included cash and a backpack carrying materials for maternal health care.

Upon receiving the items, the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the President, terming it timely and thoughtful.
