FREETOWN, SIERRA LEONE-The 39th meeting of the ECOWAS Administration and Finance Committee has opened in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
The three-day meeting brings together representatives of ECOWAS Member States and community institutions.
The meeting will discuss important issues, including administration, finance, human resources, budget implementation, and the performance of ECOWAS institutions.
It aims to improve the work of the regional body.
The Administration and Finance Committee is responsible for reviewing ECOWAS administrative and financial matters, ensuring accountability and the effective use of the community’s functions.
Speaking at the opening, ECOWAS Vice President, Damtien Tchintchibidja, said the ECOWAS Golden Jubilee was a time to celebrate achievements and also reflect on future challenges.
