Two Men Held at Bopolu Central Prison for Criminal Offenses

GBARPOLU COUNTY, LIBERIA-Two men are currently being held in detention at the Bopolu Central Prison in Gbarpolu County, pending court trial for separate criminal offenses.

The suspects, identified as 22-year-old Emmanuel Davidson and Sumolu Kpannah, were arrested by police and charged with criminal attempt and aggravated assault, respectively.

According to ELBC’s correspondent in the county, Davidson was charged with criminal attempt after he allegedly stabbed a motorcyclist in an attempt to steal the victim’s motorcycle.

Meanwhile, Kpannah faces an aggravated assault charge for allegedly inflicting injuries to his colleague’s private parts during a physical altercation reportedly sparked by a dispute over a missing catfish.

Both defendants are currently in detention awaiting their respective court trials.
