Rubber Dev. Fund Urges Nat’l Rubber Brookers and Farmers Union…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Rubber Development Fund Incorporated (RDFI) is urging the National Rubber Brookers and Farmers Union of Liberia not to undermine Executive Order Number 166, which places an indefinite ban on the export of unprocessed natural rubber from Liberia. ‎ ‎ ‎

Speaking at a news conference in Monrovia on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in Monrovia, RDFI Chairman Tokpah Mulbah said” The measure will increase the value of Liberia’s rubber and help the government maintain accurate production and export data”. ‎ ‎

‎Chairman Mulbah praised President Joseph Boakai for issuing the Executive Order, saying the decision is expected to create jobs, strengthen the rubber sector, and increase government revenue. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

He clarified that the Executive Order is not intended to favor any particular company but is aimed at promoting the growth and sustainability of the Country’s rubber industry. ‎ ‎

‎Chairman Mulbah also called for reconciliation with the National Rubber and Farmers Union, urging both sides to engage in dialogue and raise awareness about the benefits of Executive Order Number 166.
