MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah has challenged individuals claiming that senior government officials are linked to the recent drug bust to provide substantial proof.
Speaking at the Ministry of Information’s regular press briefing, Minister Piah said anyone with information should submit it not only to the Government of Liberia but also to international investigators assisting with the probe.
He warned against making allegations without proof, describing such actions as irresponsible and damaging to the country’s fight against illegal drugs.
The Minister stressed that the government remains committed to addressing the drug crisis and that President Joseph Boakai has made the issue a national priority.
Minister Piah urged all Liberians to treat the matter with seriousness, saying the fight against drugs should never be reduced to politics or personal attacks.
